Bible Teacher
I LOVE sharing and teaching the story of God’s love for mankind. His love for and patience with us is mind-boggling – this drives me in life. I also love music, playing guitar, surfing, reading, gardening and landscaping, restoring old houses and furniture, breeding miniature horses (for 25+ years) and spending time with my two children and seven grandchildren. I have a beautiful 25 hectare farm in Taranaki that is often referred to as ‘Taradise’. It is a great retreat with its natural beauty, pure spring water and amazing views from the top of the farm.
I have taught for nearly 40 years and have a wealth of experience at all levels within primary, intermediate and lower secondary; teaching in schools around the North Island (both in the State and SDA system) and in Australia. While in Australia I upgraded my teaching diploma and have partly completed my degree. I have also done other studies through University and Polytechnic on Management and Sociology. My career has included principalship as well as management positions.
LAC has to be the highlight of my teaching career. It is such a great place to work; cooperative staff who are student-focused, a well-resourced school, supportive senior management and a place where Christian values are not only promoted but lived out by the staff. It is fantastic to be able to pray with and for fellow staff, boarding students and day students and their families. I love going to school every day.
