Topic Studies (Social Studies & Science) - Mr Richter
Bible - Mrs Jackson
PE - Miss Craig
Art - Miss Brown
Japanese - Miss Paul
Hard Materials - Mr Wright
Extension Social Studies - Mrs Little
Extension Literacy - Miss Grant
Cooking - Mrs Ngarepa
Maori - Miss Straman
Music - Mrs van Wyk

These teachers will be the only teacher in that particular subject. So Mr Richter will teach all students for Numeracy on a rotation basis, Mrs Jackson will teach all students Literacy on a rotation basis, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Orientation Day

Wednesday 9 November 2011 

8.45 am - 3.15 pm

Students planning on coming to LAC in 2012 are invited to LAC to spend the day in class, meeting people, checking out the teachers, seeing how things are done and making friends for next year. 

All students currently in Years 6,7 & 8 will move up to their new class level for 2012.

Intermediate Program for Orientation Day
8.45 am Meet in Cafe for welcome and worship
9.15 am Students tour school with current LAC students
Parents have morning tea with staff in cafetaria
 
  Say goodbye to Mum & Dad and return to classes for the day
10.00 am Testing
11.00 am First Break
11.30 am Maths
12.30 pm Class activity - All about me
1.30 pm Second Break
2.15 pm Sport
3.15 pm Home time

Fundraising Chocolates Due

Friday 5 November 2011

All money or unsold chocolates need to be returned to the school office by Friday 5 November as camp is almost here.  Congratulations to all those who gave it a go and raised money towards their camp fees.

 

 

Intermediate Camp

Tuesday 15 -  18 November 2011

 Our camp theme this year is 'Facing the Giants'.

Camp this year will be held at the Highland Home Christian Camp in the Pohangina Valley.  We will be staying in the cabin accommodation with our 3 meals per day provided by the camp staff. This will give us time to focus on developing spiritually and personallly over the time we are there.

Junior Prize Giving

Friday 2 December 2011

Year 7-10 prize giving will be held in the LAC chapel on Firday 2 December. 

This is not the last day of school, but is the last day of 'usual' classes before the year 9 & 10 students go on camp and activity week.  The last day of school is the following Friday 9 December and will be held at the Lido in PN.
