Leavers Banquet & Graduation

Leavers' Banquet

At LAC we put significant effort into encouraging achievement, service and leadership skills in our senior students. This is recognised at school assemblies in many ways. However, the more fun, yet formal, part of this recognition is the mid-year Leavers' Banquet, which Year 12 and 13 students attend. Students dress up to enjoy the acknowledgment of the contribution of each Year 13 student in a setting that has good food and lots of fun.

Graduation

The LAC tradition of holding a formal Graduation weekend to acknowledge the sporting and academic successes of Year 13 students is much appreciated by the graduating class and their families.

The general programme is:
  • Friday Night Tea and Keynote Address  - attended by Year 13s, their parents and teachers.
  • Saturday Morning Service - at which the Year 13s are the speakers.
  • Saturday Afternoon Baptism
  • Saturday Night Graduation Service - formal graduation for the Year 13s.

This year will be Longburn Adventist College’s 98th annual graduation service.
