English Studies

Reading, writing and speaking well are key skills for all students. To do these three things well not only enables our students to transition effectively through school but it also provides them with the skills they need to be productive members of society.

An appreciation and love of literature enriches our lives and in English classes we aim to instill an appreciation and love of literature as well as develop reading, writing, presenting and analysis skills.

At junior levels of the college we aim to build the basic literacy skills needed for effective learning to occur, and in the senior school we prepare our students to successfully complete English NCEA Levels 1 to 3.
