Our girls’ hockey team has gotten off to a great start in their secondary school competition with 6 wins from 7 games so far this season.
Despite having six new players this year in our team of 13, we are on track to achieving our first goal which is to make Top 4 in our division. One thing we haven’t been short on this year is goal scoring, having scored 52 goals to date! 43 of these goals coming from one player alone. With an average of over 6 goals per game, Macy Paki demonstrates her superb ball control and potent stick skills regularly – and it’s a pleasure to watch! With two more games to go in the first round robin, we hope to finish this part of the season off with two more solid wins.
Games are played at the Hockey Manawatu turf on Manawaroa Street, Tuesday 26 June at 4.15pm and Tuesday 3 July at 6.45pm.
