Creative Woodskills Competition

This year, LAC entered 4 students’ projects into the Secondary Schools Creative Woodskills Competition. This competition is open to all Secondary schools in the district.

From the 8 schools that entered this year, there were about 25 projects in the competition. It is good to see an increase in the number of schools, and the standard of craftsmanship and project innovation improving each year.

We did not do quite as well as last year, in that we did not come 1st, however, we still came away with 3 of the 6 prizes on offer so very well done to our students!

Congratulations to Caleb Neill who came 3rd and also took out the Peoples’ Choice Award, and to Lydia Pavarno who took out the Merit Award.

They were all quality projects and they can all be justifiably proud of their achievements. I am looking forward to seeing what the students can produce next year!
