Junior Boys Futsal

This term has been a busy one for the boys. Training twice a week, league matches on Tuesday afternoons, a fundraiser and a one-day Tournament – all packed into the last 7 weeks. The team continues to develop, with skill levels and team play improving each week. We are fortunate to have had a number of people attend practices to help with coaching or to assist in providing full team play. A big thank you to the boys’ parents for their ongoing support – every match, including the tournament day, had great numbers of supporters.

The cupcakes fundraiser was a big success – thanks to the school for supporting this and a special thanks to Mrs Brothwell for her input. As for results, there have been a lot of close games in the league with the boys eventually finishing 4th overall, which could have easily been 2nd. The one-day tournament – Central Football Futsal Championship – was a new experience for the boys with many games in one day.  Whilst the results did not go our way, the day was very beneficial in seeing what it is like to play in a tournament. Thanks to Mr Llena and Mr Brothwell for supporting the team throughout the day.

Well done to the boys for their great effort this term.
