Director's Comments
Greetings from LAC House to all boarding parents/caregivers and families in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Boarding life at LAC is still a great experience. With 27 girl boarders and 25 boy boarders, day to day routines in the dorms help maintain a steady flow of activities and expectations to enable a happy, safe and warm environment of homeliness.

Refurbishment – both dormitories are receiving a well overdue ‘facelift’ with insulated & lowered ceilings, new lighting in the rooms and hallways, newly painted doors and surface areas and an upgraded Wi-Fi system which have already made a significant difference to our dormitories. A big thank you to the LAC Board of Governors (photo below of newly renovated Boys' dorm room).

The LAC House Motto – Kia Puāwai Tātou – The Lord’s plans, is based on Jeremiah 29:11. We thank you for your support and prayers as we continue to serve Him every day for his purpose and for His glory.

Boarding Scholarship 2019 Application
Meet our New Deans
Through the Adventist Volunteer Service, we are blessed each year with new volunteers who travel from across the world to give up at least a year of their life to serve with LAC House.
At the start of Term 3, we welcomed three new deans to LAC House.

Miss Sarah Fandrich (USA)

Sarah Fandrich

"I am studying psychology at Walla Walla University. I heard of LAC through several individuals who worked as boarding deans in previous years and my university missions department. I chose to come to LAC for the opportunity to connect with others, explore this beautiful country, and broaden my worldview.

Since arriving at LAC, I have been humbled by the stories of those around me, from both the dedicated staff and energetic students alike. My introduction to this community and the kind, welcoming people who are a part of it has been wonderful. I look forward to making intentional connections here, helping in any way that I can. I have heard so much about this place and I am excited that I finally get to be a part of it."

Mr Daniel Braun (Brazil)

"I was a boarding student for 6 years, and it was a remarkable time, and here in LAC is no different, providing care, wise and efficient conduct. Our dean team goal is to inspire the students through Jesus’s teachings, to reach their fullest potential in all atmospheres of their lives.

Since arriving here, I have been able to see how suitable the environment of the college is, putting the student’s well-being first, providing a role model, in cooperation with you, so they can fully develop their character based on the Bible."

Mr Wynn Llena (Philippines)

Wynn Llena

"Serving God has been a real blessing to me these past years being able to have lived and traveled in a number of places around the world. I was born and raised in the Philippines and grew up in an Adventist home. My relationship with God has always been my cornerstone and my personal comfort in almost three decades of my life.

It is my great hope that we all at LAC House be able to share with each other our walk with the Lord and bring encouragement to one another. Since arriving at LAC house, realising the great variety of differences in cultures and personalities, it has been encouraging that the one thing that bonds us all together is Christ’s culture. Enjoying our freedom to Love, Accept, and Care for one another."
