Sing a New Song

Psalm 96 1-3, ESV
"Oh sing to the LORD a new song;
  sing to the LORD, all the earth!
Sing to the LORD, bless his name;
  tell of his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
  his marvellous works among all the peoples!"

‘Sons of Korah’ are a musical group that sing the Psalms. My favourite is Psalm 96, and as I go for a walk, with my earphones, the world becomes a much simpler place.

Psalm 96 - Sons of Korah

I pray we enjoy the holiday season. More importantly, I pray that we can find contentment in the love that He has for us. No matter what season we find our life in, declare His glory.

Junior Deans Celebrate with Outstanding Students

As part of the PB4L Celebration Day activities, Year 7-10 Deans, Ms Burnett and Mrs Paul were able to acknowledge the year’s fine efforts for some students with off-site activities - movies or a swim.

The students selected were: Jodie Aitken, Emma Brothwell, Jessica Carey, Eden Duker, Caitlin Giddens, Micah Jourdain, Kalarah Lewis-Clarke, Joyce Maliou, NN Miado, Charles Padilla, Pea Pulega, Eva Zhou, Lude Giddens, Liam Neill, Lucas Talamaivao and Alan Williams.

Meet Our New LAC House Staff

Tēnā koutou, kia ora tātou, Tēnā koutou katoa.

Greetings from LAC House in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As we head down the final stretch of 2019 we are very grateful to our awesome God Creator for His blessings and answered prayers throughout this past year.

While our staff have kept busy with boarding demands and expectations, this has also provided immeasurable opportunities of personal growth and development in Jesus Christ. LAC House wish to thank you for your positive influence and presence in the lives of our 2019 boarders.

We would also like to thank Mr Roy Henry for his dedicated service and commitment to LAC Boarding for the past 18 years. We will miss you.

Replacing good volunteer staff each year can be a challenge, but with God all things are possible.

We are pleased to welcome new Boarding Staff – Senior Boys’ Dean, Mr Jefferson Souza, and wonderful volunteers from Brazil, USA and New Zealand.

With our House motto – Kia Puāwai Tātou – The Lord’s plans, Jeremiah 29:11, it is our prayer that we continue to grow lives according to His will.

Maria Henry, Boarding Director

Futsal - Term 4 Update
The boys have developed a lot this term and it is visible in their tactical play and increasing skill level.  We have been fortunate to have had Nick Chong from NZ Football work with the players for a session, following on from the work of Antony Riley of Central Football.

We would like to thank the parents and staff who have supported the team at Friday's matches.  It is awesome to have had a parent/caregiver with each player every week.
