Boarders are housed in two dormitory buildings on the Longburn Adventist College
Campus. The girls’ and boys’ dormitories accommodate students in double (shared) and single rooms. The cafeteria, which includes a fully equipped industrial kitchen, is located in a separate building within walking distance of the dormitories. Within the cafeteria building, is the dining room and multipurpose/lounge area.
Other student facilities for the Longburn Adventist College boarders include a tennis court, basketball court, athletics ground, and access to the LAC gym and music suite. There is a covered area for the storage of bicycles.
Annual Boarding Fee Details
Uniform Fee $600 /year
This is an estimated base rate to cover uniform cost. Additional items over the value of $600 will incur an extra cost. Second hand uniforms are available from LAC Reception.
Accommodation Fee $6,400 /year
Room, electricity, water, laundry, amenities and supplies, and facility maintenance, 24-hour Boarding Dean care and study supervision
Meals Fee $5,740 /year
Boarders are provided with an abundant supply of well-balanced vegetarian food. The catering team is able to provide for different dietary requirements and boarders are able to request meal options. This fee is reduced by $500 for 5 day boarders.
Activities Fee $200 /year
Boarding includes a range of activities during the week and on weekends. Activities may be in-house boarding events or be connected with the school or local church. Some activities may have extra charges. Examples of such activities are ski trips and international service trips.
- Room Maintenance Fee $210 /year
No room deposit required. The fee covers general maintenance in the dormitories e.g. door handles, mirrors, lights and other minor repairs.
Local Travel Fee $500 /year
This fee covers travel to medical appointments, Thursday & Sunday shopping trips, small group and individual appointments, local bus / train / airport travel arrangements, local sporting events and competitions.
Boarders’ fees require an up-front NZ$1,000 deposit. The remainder may be paid up-front or by instalments.
All instalments must be finalised by the end of the academic school year.
