Adventist College
Christian education for your child to grow in Christ
At Longburn Adventist College, our Christ-centered education provides a nurturing environment where your child can truly flourish. By weaving biblical values into daily campus life, academic excellence, and supportive fellowship, we inspire students to deeply anchor their faith, discover their God-given purpose, and grow in their personal relationship with Christ.

Co-educational Learning for Year 7-13
Longburn Adventist College (LAC) is a co-educational, state-integrated school for students in Years 7 to 13. Located just 7km from the centre of Palmerston North, our peaceful semi-rural campus provides an ideal setting for learning and personal growth.
We use the PB4L framework to create a positive, supportive environment where expectations are clear and consistent. By teaching, reinforcing, and responding to behaviour in a fair and constructive way, we aim to strengthen student engagement, achievement, and overall well-being.
Where Faith, Learning, and Diversity Come Together
Longburn Adventist College (LAC) offers day school and boarding facilities with a number of international students. This provides a multicultural and vibrant platform from which to educate students for eternity.
This philosophy permeates through all aspects of school life from the sports field to professional teaching practice; from cultural programmes to restorative justice. We endeavour to make Christ the essence of everything, planned and enacted.

Our Christian values set us apart
Lead with Integrity
We guide students to develop a Christ-centred character through opportunities such as Weeks of Worship, chapel programmes, daily devotions, Bible studies, and service activities. Faith is woven into learning, helping students grow in honesty, courage, and purpose.
Act with Respect
Respect is expressed through how our students worship, serve, and live together. Regular church attendance, morning and evening worships, and involvement in community service encourage students to show kindness, consideration, and humility in all they do.
Cultivate Resilience
We build resilience by forming strong, supportive relationships with students and helping them understand their strengths. Through encouragement, guidance, and shared responsibility, students learn to persevere and reach their full potential.

Growing together since 1908
Longburn Adventist College has the distinction of being the first Seventh-day Adventist school in New Zealand. Founded in 1908 in the Waikato, it moved to Longburn in 1913 to better serve the growing central region. From the very beginning, the college has been dedicated to nurturing students in both faith and character.
Today, LAC continues this tradition, providing a caring and supportive environment for both day and boarding students. While the school has evolved to meet the educational needs of the 21st century, it remains grounded in its core values, combining academic excellence with spiritual growth and community service.
