Comfortable Living at LAC House

Our spacious, comfortably appointed halls of residence are designed to feel like a true home away from home. To ensure students feel comfortable and among peers, each residence hall is divided into a Junior Side (Years 7–10) and a Senior Side (Years 11–13), to ensure age-appropriate routines and environments.

Beyond their rooms, boarders enjoy fantastic shared spaces, including a welcoming fellowship room for worship, relaxing and socialising, fully equipped laundry facilities, ablution facilities, and a convenient student kitchenette - for preparing extra snacks.

A Place to Call Your Own

Every student is allocated their own heated, fully carpeted bedroom with a personal key, fostering independence and a sense of privacy. Standard double rooms are generously equipped with two of everything - comfortable bed, personal wardrobe, drawers, cubby shelving, and a dedicated study desk and chair. Room-sharing options are also available on request and in negotiation with the Head Dean.

Students are encouraged to personalise their space with a piece of home - photos, posters, facourite bedding, personality pieces. As well as the functional living essentials to maintain a healthy and clean environment.

Safety & Supervision

With our Deans residing on-site and always available, your child is supported 24 hours a day.

Wi-Fi and Technology: Is there filtered Wi-Fi available for study? Mentioning safe, monitored internet access for homework is a huge selling point.

Personalization: Add a quick line encouraging students to bring a piece of home with them (e.g., "Students are welcome to personalize their spaces with photos, posters, and their favorite bedding to make it truly theirs").

The Dining Experience: Since meals are a massive part of a boarder's day, include a brief teaser about the food (e.g., "Wholesome, delicious meals are provided daily in our central dining hall...").

Boarders are housed in two dormitory buildings on the Longburn Adventist College
Campus. The girls’ and boys’ dormitories accommodate students in double (shared) and single rooms. The dormitories each contain a fellowship room, kitchenette, office, laundry, ablution block, connected staff residential accommodations.

The halls of residence are spacious and comfortably appointed. Each residence hall is divided into two sides; Junior Side (Year 7-10) and Senior Side (Year 11-13).
