- Gateway: a structured workplace placement giving you hands-on experience in a specific industry, such as an Early Childhood Centre.
- STAR (Secondary Tertiary Alignment Resource): short courses that give you a taste of a career, like a one-day Hair and Beauty session or a two-day Vet Nursing course.
- Other in-school options: study by correspondence through Te Kura, or Trades Academy and Secondary Tertiary Partnership courses through UCOL.
