Day School Fees

At Longburn Adventist College, we aim to provide transparency around school fees and ensure families understand the costs involved in their child’s education. This section outlines the various fees you may encounter throughout the year.

Attendance Dues

Attendance Dues are paid to the proprietors of the college and are a legal requirement for enrolment in a state-integrated school. These funds support capital works and property maintenance and are paid directly to the NZ SDA Schools Association.

• Invoiced directly by the NZ SDA Schools Association
• Required a term in advance before students can be enrolled
• Flexible arrangements may be possible; contact the Adventist Education office in Auckland if needed

Attendance Dues are vital, as proprietors do not receive government funding for property works, including extra teaching spaces.

Subject Fees

Some subjects have take-home or consumable components, such as Woodwork or Food Technology. Fees for these materials are charged annually, and parents are notified in writing.

Camp and Trip Fees

Charges may apply for camps and class trips to cover the actual costs. Teachers will provide details and fees in advance.

Donations

We are grateful for the generosity of families who choose to contribute beyond school fees. Donations help support LAC’s Special Character programs and enhance student learning experiences.

Special Character Donation

The Special Character Donation is invoiced along with Attendance Dues and is used to fund Religious Studies curriculum development and the college’s Special Character initiatives.

• Tax-deductible: Eligible for a charitable donation rebate
• Optional: If not paid, the amount is credited back on the final invoice
• Suggested amounts: $100 for the first student, $75 for the second, $50 for the third
