Fees & Policies

International Student Fees
Please note that international fees do not apply to residents of Australia, the Cook Islands, Niue, or Tokelau, who should apply through our Domestic Enrolment process.
We understand that planning for your child’s education is a big step, so here’s a clear overview of the fees involved. This section outlines tuition, boarding, and other associated costs for international students, helping you plan ahead with confidence.
Payment Options
To make the process easier, international fees can be paid up-front or in termly instalments. Paying up-front is preferred due to visa requirements and processing times. All instalments must be completed by the end of the academic year, and returning students must have fees fully paid before the start of the school year.
For questions about payments, contact LAC’s Business Manager: fm@lac.school.nz
Attendance Dues & ISPMML
These levies support essential property works at LAC and are paid directly to the NZ Seventh-day Adventist Schools Association. They allow the proprietors to maintain and develop school facilities, as they do not receive government funding.
Visa Fees
If LAC processes a student visa application, a NZ$250 administration fee applies. If parents/caregivers apply for a visa themselves, no fee is charged.

International Student Policies
Your child’s safety and well-being are our top priorities. This section explains the policies that protect students and clarify expectations, including insurance coverage and refund guidelines.
Insurance
All international students are covered by the Southern Cross International Student Travel Insurance: Policy Details
Additionally, students are covered under New Zealand’s ACC accident scheme, which covers consultation, treatment, operations, and MRI. Parents/caregivers may need to pay a small surcharge depending on the provider.
Refund Policy
Refunds are only considered in exceptional circumstances. To apply, parents or legal guardians must submit a written request to the Board explaining the situation.
- Before arriving in New Zealand: full refund minus a $500 administration fee
- After arrival: refunds are only available for serious illness or the serious illness/death of a close family member
